FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - On Sunday, January 9th at 4 p.m. the International Guitar Night will resume after a pause due to COVID-19 in 2021. The event, hosted by the Fairbanks Concert Association, will involve an evening of guitar music from around the world. The concert will combine four individual guitarists representing three different continents.
Executive Director Anne Biberman shared her excitement regarding the event, despite the difficulties with COVID-19. “Visas are very challenging right now. There was a little bit of would we, could we, because of the forever changing rules.” said Biberman. Biberman added, “I have to say the people we ended up with, I just could not be happier or more pleased. It’s just been wonderful.”
Fairbanks will be the first to see this performance debuting at Pioneer Park’s Civic Center Theatre Stage.
Vaccine policies are in place. Attendees must provide proof of vaccination in the form of a vaccine card or photo of vaccine card and matching photo ID. Additionally, masks are currently required for all attendees regardless of vaccination status.
