FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - In a ceremony on the morning of Tuesday, July 27, two names were added to the wall of the Trooper Gabriel Rich and Trooper Scott Johnson Memorial Park in North Pole.

The park is meant to commemorate the sacrifice of those from the Fairbanks area in law enforcement, fire, and military who lost their lives in service to the country.

According to the Fairbanks Police Department: Private First Class Joseph Love-Fowler, and Trooper Roland Edgar “Skip” Chevalier, Jr. were added to the memorial wall.

Scott Adams, Captain with the Fairbanks Police Department, said, “It’s a place for people to pay their respects, to pay their honor to those who’ve paid the ultimate price, have lost their lives in service to their community and country. It serves as a reminder of the things that can happen, also a reminder to keep those people’s family, their friends, their co-workers in your prayers and in your thoughts.”
