FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The Fairbanks North Star Borough Parks and Recreation Department manages the Pioneer Park property, and the Master Plan program currently underway will serve as the primary guide for decision making about the park’s future. It’s goals are to address the basic maintenance and economic sustainability for the park, as well as a developing plans to drive revenue, growth and engagement in the park.

The first public workshop for the Fairbanks North Star Borough Pioneer Park Master Plan program will be held Tuesday, April 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. via Zoom. The workshop’s focus is stated to be “Issues, Opportunities & Vision for the future of Pioneer Park”.

Community members will be able to participate and provide input about what they think should change in the development of the park.
